Education and Outreach

Education Committee
The Education Committee is responsible for promoting educational opportunities to reach out to the greater San Diego community, most especially the student population. The Committee coordinates educational tours of the School and its exhibitions for the community and Art Council members, as well as artist lectures to support the Art Council’s mission. They also work in consultation with the School of Art, Design and Art History’s Director to award a Faculty Development Award in the Spring.

• SDSU Art Council Faculty Development Grant
The Education Committee will review faculty research and creative work grant proposals. Depending on the number and nature of proposals received, faculty may receive full or partial funding from the SDSU Art Council. The goal is to later invite these faculty development grant recipients to lecture and share their project experiences with the SDSU Art Council membership and School.
